Canada’s Olympic dreams have come true.
“The International Olympic Committee has the honour of announcing that the 21st Olympic Winter Games in 2010 are awarded to the city of Vancouver,” International Olympic Committee president Jacques Rogge announced Wednesday in Prague, Czech Republic.
Vancouver-Whistler narrowly beat Pyeongchang, South Korea 56 votes to 53 on the second ballot of IOC voting.
